So far I had not known, that an Android Mobile has built four different sensors. These are four different sensors:
- 3-axis Accelerometer (Beschleunigungsmesser)
- 3-axis Magnetic field sensor (Magnetic field probe)
- Orientation sensor (Localization probe)
- Temperature sensor (Temperature probe)
Addendum of 23.09.2011: Meanwhile, in recent Android devices, other sensors were implemented:
- GP2A (Brightness control for display)
- Rotation Vector Sensor
- Linear Acceleration Sensor
In the Android Market can be a free App “Sensor List” by milan Works Studio download and install on its Android mobile phone. The app shows the functionality and the current values with graphics on the touch screen. The application is a good way to test, because some sensors act like a case of smart phones are no longer on hard ground.
